The Conference aims to bring together authorities and experts from the EU and West Africa to identify challenges and opportunities for Circular Economy and Green Industry to facilitate the achievement of the Agenda 2030 and the related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Relevant SDGs include SDG 9 on ‘Industry, innovation and infrastructure’, SDG 12 on ‘Responsible production and consumption’ and SDG 13 on ‘Climate action’.
The Conference will provide a platform for an exchange on best practices and experiences in waste management, efficient water, materials and energy management, particularly in industrial production, sustainable energy and industry as well as circular economy practices for achieving inclusive and sustainable industrial development. It will also set priorities that can lead to the development of international, public and private investments in these areas.
